Amanda and Clay’s hipster barn wedding was totally my jam! Held at Clay’s family estate, his mom worked tirelessly to create a rustic and hipster chic environment that was a big hit with the guests. Family and friends gathered from all over, including Florida and Colorado. Amanda and Clay have, after all, settled in Colorado in the gorgeous mountains! They infused their cool, outdoorsy style into every detail of the wedding. Check out the “honeymoon suite” below!
Capturing weddings of friends and their relatives always adds a special dimension. Amanda’s mom and I developed science curriculum together at Frederick Community College! As you can see, Amanda has so much mama love in her heart. <3 Pam is an amazing mama and scientist! Proud to be her friend.
These detail and getting ready shots you see first are some of my favorites. They give the artist the best chance at being creative with capturing those pre-wedding jitters and all the chaos that leads to the ceremony! Months and months (and sometimes years) of planning come down to these last couple hours that culminate in a ritual where you pledge your love forever to the person standing in front of you. You want to remember those feelings, I promise! And, your photos will retell your wedding day story.
Meanwhile. . .
And then it was ceremony time!
Whoa, boy! Slow down a touch, Clay! 😀
Love when I can geek out with my couples.
Hellllooooooo, gorgeous lady!
I mayyyyy have scaled a tree for this perspective.
A colonial-style home, a pond, ANDDDD this barn all on Clay’s family property. Amazing venue right in his backyard!
