While capturing weddings is my main passion, I’m also a lifestyle family photographer near DC. Leilah got in touch with me from a referral from a great photo friend Katie. Baby Tom was joining their family, and mom and dad wanted to capture his first few days at home.
Newborn babies are exhausting! I remember when mine are small, so I offer travel to my clients’ homes for lifestyle photo sessions. Everyone can relax as I photograph sweet connections between the new baby and his parents. Tom slept sweetly almost the entire session. That doesn’t always happen. Typically, I get to see their peepers a few times. 🙂
Another pro to having an in-home photography session is that I document so much more than just the love in the family. Tom’s nursery is super cute, and he will be able to cherish these photos of the nursery his parents prepared for him. The surroundings (the nursery) reveal so much about Tom’s story – the time and effort his parents spent painting a mural for him, the books that are sure to become his favorite, and the toys that he will happily play with.
Mama and her boy! Such a sweet moment! THIS is what matters! Tom will have this photo of him and his mama and know how much he is loved.
Baby burrito! He’s snuggled so safely in papa’s arms. Look at all of his hair!!!!!
Baby details! Those little lashes are always so precious. They grow quickly, friends! After just a few days, he isn’t this small anymore!
