Karyn and Andy’s wedding at Roop’s Mill in Westminster, MD was filled with happy tears, lots of laughter, and some pretty funky dance moves. Capturing the support their family and friends provided, from getting ready to encircling this awesome duo on the dance floor, is part of the story. Seeing guests busting a move with the wedding couple makes my heart sing. I capture those moments because those are the ones that matter. Those are the ones you’ll look back at and say, “HEY! Remember when grandma and cousin Annie were getting groovy to ‘Uptown Funk’?” YES! Because here’s a photo of grandma having the time of her LIFE! That’s part of her story and part of your story! Those people who are important to YOU are also important to ME. I will seek out and capture these rare and important moments for you to cherish for eternity.
Let’s begin Karyn and Andy’s story with some details. . . I just ADORE lace gowns!
First looks create an intimate moment between the bride and groom. They get to express their emotions and have quiet time ALONE. From this point forward, the wedding day speeds up drastically, and guests/vendors will be constantly in your space. You may not get to eat. You may not see every guest. BUT, you have the option of making sure THIS MOMENT HAPPENS! By choosing a first look, you’re promising yourself that you get this memory for yourselves and that you will ALWAYS remember the first time you saw your spouse on your wedding day. PERFECTION!

And after the sun had set, we lined up for the intros inside the ballroom at Roop’s Mill. Karyn and Andy chose blue accents for their decor and sat at a sweetheart table at the front of the dance floor.
The toasts were hit the hit. Tears, laughter, and love filled the huge ballroom as Andy’s groomsmen gave him advice for the future and as Karyn’s dad wished the newlyweds a life full of happiness.
Then, it was time for dinner, dancing, and shenanigans. This group lit up the floor with crazy moves! If your guests are doing the worm and Whip&Nae Nae, you will have amazing reception photos! Just look at all the smiles and hilarity.
With two sons, I have a special place in my heart for the mother-son dance. I don’t even care if my boys want this dance at their wedding. To me, I just melt when I see the love mother and son have for one another. You can tell a lot about the relationship between a mom and her boy by the song they choose and by how much crying or laughing happens. It’s very clear to me that Andy and his mom have a playful, comfortable relationship. Way to go, mama! I can feel how much Andy admires you.
