Backyard weddings are my jam! By providing Deep Creek Lake Wedding Photography, I get to shoot laid-back, BBQ style weddings, even in the pouring rain. Katie and Robbie were married at the Log Mahal near Deep Creek Lake. Their country chic details complemented the laid-back style of their wedding and venue. Honestly, I just love a bride in boots!

They rented the house from Taylor Made for the weekend and completed the party with a beer truck. Family gathered inside the tent as the rain began to pour just before the ceremony. I ducked into the tent with my cameras just in time. The wind started to blow and rain came in sideways. Thankfully, it slowed so we could capture some beautiful wedding photographs.

Their wedding was such a beautiful, sweet day! They didn’t let the torrential rains bring them down! Even when Katie’s strap wouldn’t stay on her dress (I fixed it!) or the signs and arch fell down (we fixed those too!) or when the rain blew in sideways, Katie and Robbie just smiled at each other.
