Jenn was searching for an Oakland and Cumberland Birth Photographer, and that’s when Jenn and I connected! When Jenn asked me to be her birth photographer I jumped at the chance. We chatted back and forth about her birth plans, and as her due date grew closer we kept in touch frequently. Jenn planned a homebirth, and I was more than ecstatic to document this momentous event in her life. Little Eaden decided to start labor for his poor mama on November 19. She called me at 5:00 a.m. and said it was time. I arrived and immediately started documenting the labor process.
As the hours wore on, Eaden decided today would not be his birthday and labor stalled. He decided to make his appearance 19 DAYS later. Yes, 19 days of on and off labor. Jenn, you’re a rock star!
When I got the call the second time, the candlelit labor moved quickly and Eaden was finally in his mama’s arms. I just love their story, and documenting this birth story has been an honor.
Warrior mama laboring in the tub! Homebirths are very near and dear to my heart, so intimate and such the perfect way to experience bringing your child into this world. The warm water soothed Jenn’s body as she prepared to meet sweet Eaden for the first time. Keep on, rockstar mama!
Birth is such an incredible process to witness and document. If you live in the Oakland or Cumberland, MD area, I would love to chat about capturing your birth story.
