When I first met Melissa and Ellen at Panera in Frederick, I was completely taken with their story. They were SO IN LOVE. They just oozed love from every atom in their bodies. I HAD to be the one to tell their love story and had to be their Deep Creek Lake Wedding Photographer. We clicked so well that they booked on the spot, and we set up their engagement session. I had to wait an ENTIRE YEAR to photograph the love between these two, but their wedding at Shade Trees and Evergreens was perfect, down to the 72 degree weather with a nice breeze. They put such much heart into every incredible detail. I just love LOVE… all kinds of love, especially this true, deep kind where you can just tell two people are soulmates. This was destiny, friends. Soak it in.

Melissa and Ellen planned surprise gifts for each other. The cutest part… they exchanged books! Ellen filled hers with details from their relationship. Later in the day, Ellen surprised Melissa with three more gifts accompanied by cards that said, “I can’t wait to marry you”. We can all just let our hearts melt here.

Quentin was so overcome with emotion when his Mama and Ellen shed tears of joy. He’s such a sweet little boy who adores both Melissa and Ellen.
