I feel like I keep writing about rainy weddings! That’s been Mother Nature’s “gift” this year, and Becky and Sam’s White Barn wedding near Deep Creek Lake was no exception. We checked the weather every few minutes to make a call on where to have the ceremony. Although many friends and family members were telling Becky to play it safe and move everything indoors, her heart was set on an outdoor ceremony. Sooooo… we went for it! I was behind her 100%!!!! This day won’t come again, so you do you! A few sprinkles never hurt anyone, except maybe the Wicked Witch and she wasn’t invited!
Look at how beautifully decorate this is! Nice work on all the details!
Lauren, Becky’s very dear friend, did the flowers for her and Sam’s wedding. She managed to convince Becky to add color in the floral arrangements, and I think it contrasted SO WELL against the white barn. It created such a romantic vibe and broke away from the usual blushes and neutral tones that were all the rage this year. I’m a hugeeeeee fan!
Tying for first place as Becky’s BFF is Rambo, a perfect addition to an incredible day! Becky has been with Rambo since his birth, and this 11-year-old spunky fella has been by her side through it all, including five moves, crazy work and school schedules, and through the countless heartbreaks the led up to Sam. It wasn’t long after he met Rambo that Sam fell in love with him. I’m all about the furry family, friends!
A private moment was shared between the two for their first look. It is so clear how much these two cherish one another!
After their first look, Sam and Becky shared an unforgettable moment FaceTiming Sam’s grandmother. She lives in Hyannis, Massachusetts and wasn’t able to make it to the wedding. However, that didn’t stop them from having a heartfelt experience with her. Just look at those tears! It was a bittersweet moment, but Grandma got to be part of the big day and that’s what’s important! Technology rocks!
And thennnnnn it was GO TIME!
I was able to steal these two away for some private moments and give them some time to themselves before we returned back to the reception! I always, always recommend we take 10-15 minutes around sunset for a breather. These shots are always some of my faves.
Anddddd it was time to party!
A little advice from the happy couple: “3 things to spend GOOD money on: Hair, Makeup, and a photographer! The power of good makeup in a picture.., you won’t regret the result! Find a photographer that knows how to capture the moments instead of posed smiles!!”
Becky and Sam have such a wonderful connection and to see them surrounded by family, friends, and a furry best friend to celebrate their love was an honor! Here’s wishing you a lifetime full of love, laughter, and incredible memories together!
