Well this was one for the books, of that I am certain. When you chat with a couple via email or phone you don’t always get the clearest picture of who they are and vice versa. Alanna and Mack were vibrant when we chatted about their Chanteclaire Farm Wedding Photography, but it wasn’t until I met them at Ohiopyle for their engagement session our vibes synced up. They were up for any adventure into the falls, and even brought their sweet Islay with them. When Alanna was sweetly mentioned she wanted photos in their “jorts”… I was just like “whatever you want!”, not even knowing what “jorts” really were… yeah, sometimes I’m that uncool. Jorts on, their true, funny selves emerged, and I loved it.
Also… in case you weren’t certain who my type of client is, read Alanna and Mack’s fave thing from their wedding, “Floating on deep creek lake in a giant inflatable unicorn and finishing the night with a big bonfire.” Boom. Like to float on unicorns, bonfire, and dance the night away??? I’m your photographer.
Fast forward to the wedding day, and I knew it’d be a laid back but stunning wedding. When I entered the farmhouse at Chanteclaire Alanna was perfectly poised with her tunes on and champagne in hand. The bridesmaids were all gathered close together, so naturally I wanted to find out what was going on… It turns out, many didn’t know how to whip or nae nae. Where there are wedding attendees who need dancing help, you will find me jumping in. It’s a bit ridiculous how much I like to dance and how often it only happens in my kitchen. BUT, Alanna DID say learning dance moves was one of her favorite parts! 😀 Alanna and her ladies could GET DOWN… for a bunch of med school students, color me impressed.
Alanna’s first look with her dad and brothers was THE BEST. Yes, you want to do this at your wedding.
Continuing on, Mack and his guys were more calm with relaxing tunes playing in the background. The moody dudes den at Chanteclaire facilitated the chill ambiance. All I can say is how kind, hospitable, and genuine this crowd is. I love meeting people like this!
These colors are bomb. And the non-matching but complementary dresses… YESSSSS! Always, yes!
Chanteclaire ceremonies occur in front of this cute little pond. I love the slight downward angle of this ceremony set up as it allows so many different photography angles.
