Lara and Jon were married on a gorgeous Fall day at Roop’s Mill in Westminster, MD. When Lara emailed me about her wedding vision, we instantly bonded. She works with kids on the spectrum, and as a former teacher, so have I. My oldest is also on the spectrum, and it takes a certain heart and personality to help those kids flourish. Lara’s enthusiasm and warmth are certainly what make her amazing at her job and also what made me excited to capture her rustic wedding adorned with daisies.
I’m now obsessed with naked cakes! Aren’t they the coolest?
Lara’s sister sewed a bluebird made from a shirt that belonged to their dad. So sweet!
Meanwhile… 😉
I love these guys. Such a fun bunch!
I always ask my couples about a first look because there are so many benefits. It’s an intimate moment that relieves stress on a wedding day. The couple gets to see one another before the wedding and share beautiful moments while I creepily stalk them and capture the smiles, tears, and hugs. 😉 Lara was undecided, and I encouraged her and Jon to do a first look. She was SO glad she did it. AND, you have to see Jon’s reaction to her walking down the aisle. They got TWO incredible first moments together. <3
They exchanged gifts! I love the reactions. 🙂
They hid away until it was ceremony time. Again, more BEAUTIFUL emotion.
I adored capturing these two! Sending them lots of wishes for an amazing future.
