Being a Frederick Maternity Photographer, I get to choose from some beautiful outdoor locations. Lindsey and I decided to go on an outdoor adventure for her session. Lindsey is a photographer as well and knows the value of a gorgeous backdrop for portraits. “Adventuring” for a session can be as simple as a walk in the woods or a splash in puddles, but it gets everyone to relax. I love shooting my clients in locations where they can just relax – in or out of their homes.

Lindsey and her boys hike in the woods near their home, and her husband is also an avid runner. This family loves being outdoors! We decided to follow a trail near her house in Spring Ridge, and she was all for hopping in the creek. The sun had just set behind her, so we got this soft light which accentuated her pregnant glow. This is my absolute favorite time of day to shoot.

Can we all just tell Lindsey how awesome she is for agreeing to lie on the tree?! She rocks that baby belly. Thank you, Lindsey (and baby Casey), for trusting me for your adventure photography session. 😉 (UPDATE: Check out Casey’s Newborn Session!)
